#RunningTo Stats: By the Numbers

Last week my nine-month road trip finally crossed the finish line in Charlotte. It's been an interesting week, to say the least -- a unique week of an unsettling settling. I'm certain I'll have more to blog about as this altogether new journey in the Queen City unfolds, but in the meantime I want to immortalize my now completed road trip. Each week for the next few weeks, I'll be posting a #RunningTo memorial. A chance to reflect upon the last nine months. This week, I look at my journey's cold hard stats: the miles and the states and the gallons upon gallons of coffee. It was fun compiling my #RunningTo résumé. I'm proud of these stats, because they translate something so much deeper: the feelings, the people, the moments. Thanks to those of you who contributed a stop, a state, and a coffee. You made this whole impossible thing possible.#RunningTo STATS: By the NumbersTOTAL DAYS ON THE ROAD: 282TOTAL MILES DRIVEN: 26,301AVERAGE MILES DRIVEN PER DAY: 93LONGEST DRIVE IN ONE DAY: 815 miles;14 hours (Tempe, AZ to Colorado Springs, CO via Gallup, NM)TOTAL STATES VISITED: 48 (plus a District)TOTAL PROVINCES VISITED: 6MOST STATES HIT IN ONE DAY: 6 (Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania two days before Thanksgiving)SEPARATE HOSTS/STOPS: 112NIGHTS OF CAMPOUTS: 6NIGHTS SLEPT IN MY CAR: 13NATIONAL PARKS VISITED: 8 (Grand Canyon, Zion, Yellowstone, Mount Rainier, Crater Lake, Badlands, Acadia, Great Smoky Mountains)FURTHEST NORTH WANDERED: Edmonton, AlbertaFURTHEST SOUTH WANDERED: Fort Lauderdale, FloridaFURTHEST WEST WANDERED: Ocean Shores, WashingtonFURTHEST EAST WANDERED: Acadia National Park, MaineKICKSTARTER BACKERS: 42KICKSTARTER FUNDS RAISED: $2551TOTAL COFFEES CONSUMED: 459All in all, this road trip was the ride of my life.
