I tend to wander; it doesn’t make me lost. It just helps me find things I didn’t know I was looking for.
Check out my video archive of all my travels stretching back to 2010!
#RunningOut (May – Present 2019)
#RunningToo (August – September 2017)
For 49 days, I hit the road from Asheville to Denver and back — by way of everywhere in between and some detours here and there. The purpose of this trip was to finish writing my Running To book and connect with a whole new crop of readers, podcast listeners, and fellow wanderers gained in the last couple years.
#RunningBack (April 2017)
After 2+ years removed from southern California, I flew back for a few days to run a half-marathon in La Jolla. And I reunited with a lot of awesome people and spots, too.
Eastward Ho! (May 2012)
For a couple weeks I wandered from southern California to a summer camp in Ridgecrest, North Carolina — by way of the entire country.
Westward Ho! (August 2010)
My life in northeast Georgia had grown stale enough to the point of a drastic change: a cross-country move to southern California. My first time seeing the West, let alone living it.
#RunningTo (June 2014 – March 2015)
For 282 days, I hit the road in search of newness and home. I ventured to all 48 contiguous states and even 6 provinces in Canada, a 26,301-mile trek in a Mitsubishi Galant that started in Fullerton, California and ended in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I’ve since written a book about my 9-month journey! It’s my second book, Running To: In Search of Home on the Road. Click here for more info, and watch the official book trailer below!
