My “Struggle Central” Audiobook is Now Available!

I wrote a book two years ago. It was my first, and I called it Struggle Central — a quarter-life collection of my messy memoirs. It started as an ebook because I had no idea what I was doing as a self-publisher. I figured I’d take this whole book-building process slow and steady.

A few months went by, dozens of people left me supportive emails and reviews, and I figured it was time to turn the crank on my book’s next evolution — the paperback. Gosh, for all the exhilaration released with the ebook, there was nothing like holding my book and turning its tangible pages for the first time.

Now, two years removed from Struggle Central‘s initial budding, my little book is getting reborn all over again.

At long last, my Struggle Central audiobook is now available.

Struggle Central Audiobook

When I visited a friend on my #RunningTo road trip, he let me go to town with all his fancy microphones and editing software. And by “go to town,” I mean to say that I locked myself inside a room for upwards of 15-20 hours.

It was weird at first: sitting down in front of a microphone and reciting words I’d not seen or considered in at least a year. Words I’d never really said aloud. Not from start to finish, at least.

The more I spoke, the more I read, the more I remembered the nooks and crannies of my story, the more grateful I grew for this journey. All in all, I think it turned out quite nicely for a first audiobook effort.

If audiobooks are more your thing than paper or digital pages, I hope you’ll give the all new Struggle Central audiobook a go. It’s now available on Amazon, iTunes, and Audible.

If you’ve thought about joining or been wanting to join Audible, now would be the perfect time to do so. Because if you make my Struggle Central audiobook your first purchase on Audible, I’ll actually receive an extra $50 bounty. Every time. I can’t tell you how much that would support me!

ALSO. If you’d be interested in exchanging a free listen for an Audible rating/review, let me know in the comments! I have 25 free giveaway codes, and I’ll gladly hook you up for a review.

You can listen to a brief audiobook sample on any of those three purchasing venues, but here’s an extended sample of the entire first chapter. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed recording!

What should my book’s next format be? Hologram? Virtual reality? Smellovision?

I generally don’t do much in the way of audiobooks (or e, for that matter) but I do want to pick up a paperback copy at some point. What is the best way to do that for your end? I mean, if I order it from Amazon do you get less than if I just say “Hey, Tom, let me paypal you $10 and mail me a copy of the book, eh?”

Let me know what you prefer and is most beneficial to you, and I’ll add another tome to my library shelf. Cheers.
