I KNOW, I KNOW, I need to recap my return to the Exodus Conference from this past weekend. It’s coming, I promise. The conference was amazing, and I’m still unpacking so much from the experience. You can check back Monday for the first in a series of Exodus blog posts.
In the meantime, I wanted to thank EVERYONE who read/responded to my last blog post, “Quarter-Life Confessions of a Gay Christian.” In just a week, it’s become my second most popular post of all-time, and the comments/messages/emails of support have overwhelmed me with gratitude. Thank you, all. I can’t wait to share more of my story in the coming months.
Also in the meantime, I thought I’d share a recent adventure in the form of a sorta-but-not-really Wandering Wednesday video — one that features my unfortunate non-wandering circumstances.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the recorded tale of my first flat tire and the 90-minute adventure that was replacing it.
Please do enjoy my misery; I sure did.
Interactive question: what’s your most memorable vehicular moment? Humorous or humorously disastrous stories only, of course.
My most memorable… wow- I have a LONG list of car disasters to recount. But… the best would be the time I was driving my truck on my grandparents’ property.
First, it had no power steering. Second, I was driving on winding roads up and down hills. My only place to turn around was at the bottom of a hill. While making said turn around via a 20 point turn, the truck died. Like, completely. While perpendicular to the main entrance to the property. My brother and two friends had to push it into a small ditch so as to clear the entrance until we could tow it away in a few days.
And that’s just one of many stories…
